If you don't read anything else on the site, read this. You'll understand how, from all of our inventorying, reviews and evaluations, we identify and present the website improvement recommendations. |

1. Understanding Broad Strengths and Weaknesses
Summing the scores of Best Practice Markers determines the score for each of the 12 Success Determinants - with 100 the highest possible score. These scores are presented graphically for easy identification.
This scoring reveals your site's overall weaknesses (the lowest scores) to its greatest strengths (the highest scores).

2. Improvement Recommendations Prioritized by Impact |
From all of the above, a list of improvement recommendations is created. However, the real job is weighting the list and prioritizing work tasks based on the impact they will have on business results and on the quality of the visitor experience.
One more test is required as well. The improvement work must pass an effort/benefits analysis consistent with budget and resources. Each task must be tightly focused, narrowly defined and accomplished in a short time frame. Each must be manageable with the Iterative Improvement process to insure it is fully optimized.
3. Tracking Your Results:
The improvements most vital to your success, those recommended for immediate implementation, will be accompanied by a set of metrics to track and measure progress toward goals.

Some call this system a dashboard, flight deck or control panel, but the functioning remains the same - a set of Vital Performance Indicators (VPIs) that indicate how well the system is performing.
Your Flight Deck:
- A website objective is broken into its basic site components
- Each site component is tracked by those website metrics which are measured and analyzed over time
The object is a tracking and reporting device updated and monitored over time. The goal is to make informed site refinements, monitor and measure, make course corrections, publish and repeat the process again.
