Learn how to optimize a web page by testing multiple variations of page factors to determine which produces the highest conversion rates and least bounce rate. |

Designing your optimization strategy is a four step process.
- Setting goals for the page
- How to measure success
- Determine factors to test (Next Page)
- Decide number of test layouts (Next Page)
1. Set Clear Goals for the Page
The goal of the landing page is to get one mouse click — onto the first page of the buying funnel for the E-Book.
Failing to achieve that action, a secondary goal is lead generation. We want to capture user contact information for the company's mailing list.
2. Determine How You'll Measure Success
The wining layout will, of course, be the one with the lowest percentage bounce rate and the highest percentage of visitors who advance into the buying funnel.
Bounce rate is a simple metric trackable by using any standard web analytics software.
